Idle Hands Craft Ales

Explore one of the "forgotten" elements in art: TEXTURE, or the appearance of texture, with frottage, which is a rubbing made from any uneven or patterned surface, and it is beloved by kindergarteners and the surrealists alike.
Using dry materials (like colored pencils, crayons, graphite) and glue, we will create various flat textures to collage together onto paper. We'll rub, tear, cut and combine to create something original out of oddments. Suitable for folks seeking a creative night out, as well as for artists into collaging, textures or playing. 
Feel free to bring your own scissors and any colored or textured paper that you love. Otherwise bring your sense of play and adventure for an evening of art making!&nbsp;
No experience necessary. &nbsp;Materials&nbsp;provided. &nbsp;

MAKE A TOTE BAG FOR MOM! Join us on Saturday, May 11, 2024 between noon and 3:00 PM for a fun-filled and creative time. Bring your daughter, son, mom, grandma, or any special figure in your life for an afternoon of creativity and bondin. 
At this event you will create your very own tote bag using artist created patterns. Artist Grace Julian Murthy will guide you and/or your children through the steps to create these sweet tote bags. It's the perfect way to show your appreciation and spend quality time together.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
