The holiday tree lighting is set for 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at City Hall Plaza, according to a city press statement. Mayor Gary Christenson and the Malden High School Madrigals will be attending the tree lighting.
"The mayor invites members of Malden’s houses of worship to bring a bit of their holiday cheer and traditions to the event by performing songs and making or bringing ornaments representing Malden’s diverse cultures," reads the statement.
The event will include holiday music and hot chocolate provided by Dunkin' Donuts.
