ReplySo when this project began we thought a lot about getting books. We thought very little about the cost of shipping them. We are victims of our own success as we have just shipped off 29 boxes of books at a cost of $350.00. Please help us recoup these additional costs. No donation is too small. You can donate safely online through Paypal. Just click on the following link.

Al, currently all book donations are completed for this season. We do have a short fall of cash donations to offset shipping costs. Read below.

Hitchcock, I'm not going to debate the most cost effective ways to run a city. You can read a hundred articles on line debating this topic. You seem genuinely passionate on the subject whereas I just want efficiency and extra revenue to pay for more Police and Fire.
As for "the meaning of a semi synonymous...If you have a more descriptive word use it." I believe the word you are looking for is Quasi-Dump. I went to the same public high school you did only somewhere else. The top 20% excelled and the rest of us were pushed through the system. Creative English speaking is all well and fine as long as you don't sacrifice eloquence.
I am going to bow out of this conversation which seems to be becoming an argument. I wish you only the best and Happy Holidays. -

Hitchcock, I'm going to eat some cookies made with semi-sweet chocolate, replace a semiconductor in my PC that's slowing down it's performance and then surf the web to figure out what semi synonymous means. Meanwhile I never claimed any city department was efficient. I personally believe all city services with the exception of police and fire, should be contracted out to private industry but that's not on the table right now, at least as far as I know.

No, I'm no insensitive. I'm unpleasant. If you want to crucify a man you hang him up once and get it over with. What you guys do is drive 1 nail into Mr. Gately every time a story is run about MVRCS. Be done with it. Deal with the issue at hand. We get it. You don't like Councillor Kinnon or anyone he's ever been related to, hired, did something good for, or shook hands with in public. Why doesn't everyone get together who loathes him and pick a candidate to run against him. Use the political system we have. Stop talking about what was done, start talking about what you are going to do. PS: My friends call me Erik. You can call me MR. ROYDS.
