Malden Catholic's School Nurse Wins National Award

Elizabeth Paquette was named "Parochial School Nurse Of The Year" because of her "outstanding service" to both the school and the profession.

Two Malden Catholic Seniors Receive Full Tuition Scholarships

Alexander O'Donovan and Joseph O'Keefe won the Cardinal Medeiros scholarship, named for the former Archbishop of Boston.

Article info, text, and photo provided by Malden Catholic High School:  Alexander O’Donovan, son of Alessandra and Kevin O’Donovan of Somerville, and Joseph O’Keefe, son of Mary Ann and Frank O’Keefe of Malden, have been named Cardinal Medeiros Scholars at Boston University. The students are seniors at Malden Catholic High School. O’Donovan and O’Keefe have been chosen from among the graduating seniors of the parochial high schools in the Archdiocese of Boston to receive full-tuition scholarships through the Cardinal Medeiros Scholarship Program.  Medeiros Scholars are chosen for their academic achievements, demonstrated leadership skills, and contributions to their schools and communities.  The scholars are selected by a committee …

Malden Catholic tops BC High 3-1 for Super 8 Title.

Mike Iovanna's goal midway through the third period was just the edge the Lancer's needed to top BC High in the Division 1A championship game Sunday night at TD Garden. Casey Fitzgerald added an empty-net goal in the waning seconds to make a 3-1 game and give Malden Catholic its 20th win of the year and its second straight Super 8 hockey title.  The win also marked an emotional tribute to "Coach" Chris Serino, whose battle with cancer this season forced him off the bench, but his inspiration was prominent throughout the championship season. The Lancers were rocked early when BC High's Sam Topham slipped a shot past Connor Maloney's stick side barely two minutes into the game, and the lead held through the first period.
