Workers were out early Monday morning hoisting insulation material up onto the Malden Library roof.
Large pallets of roofing material were hoisted up onto the Malden Library roof early Monday morning. Workers delivering the material shortly after 7 a.m. said it was insulation material.

Malden Public Library gave 94-year-old Constance Allingham Niland and her family a Christmas they'll treasure forever before her sudden stroke last week.
Editor's note: Over the holiday season, we ran a letter from reader Bill Niland, who shared his story about scanning copies of a 1935 Malden High School yearbook as a Christmas gift for his 94 year old mother, Constance Allingham Niland, who graduated from the school that year. The following is a letter he addressed to the library's reference and systems librarian Stephen C. Nedell, who assisted him in the effort.
