Chamber Of Commerce To Honor Outstanding Community Members

Several folks, including nonprofit workers, business leaders, a gemologist and a retired school superintendent, are going to be honored by the Chamber at their ceremony on June 14th.

TONIGHT: A 'Taste Of Malden'

Watch the Malden Chamber Of Commerce's Executive Director risk life and limb to encourage people to attend Taste Of Malden on April 19th at the Irish American Club.

A special night of Malden culinary delights will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday night at the Irish American Club during the Malden Chamber of Commerce's "Taste of Malden" event.  Tickets at the door are $30. For kids 12 and under, tickets are $5.  Participating restaurants include:

The Malden Chamber Of Commerce is extending the dates that discounted tickets will be available until April 16th, and tickets can be purchased both online and at local businesses.

Phantom Gourmet Visits Jack's Ristorante

The Chamber Of Commerce was on hand to grab this shot of the camera crew with owner Jack Colangeli.

According to the Chamber, the crew and Jack spent several hours enjoying the food and filming the piece, which is set to air in 4 to 6 weeks. The Phantom Gourmet airs on Saturdays and Sundays at both 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. on myTV38.

Event Spotlight: Mayor Christenson's Legislative Breakfast Tomorrow

The Malden Chamber Of Commerce organizes this annual event, where the current Malden Mayor gives his yearly "State Of The City" speech.

We look forward to hearing the details of the Mayor’s first 100 days in office. Five New Chamber Members Elected to Board of Directors

The results of the recent Malden Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors election are in.

Article and info provided by the Malden Chamber of Commerce: Thanks to all the Chamber members who voted, we have elected 5 great people to serve on our Board.  Their 3 year terms will begin January 2012 when they are sworn in by our new Mayor.  Our new Board members are:  All Chamber Members are invited to the Annual Meeting where our new Mayor will swear in the new Board members and Board officers for 2012.  The meeting will be held January 11th at 5:00 PM at Dockside Riverview, and the regular business will be followed by an all-member Get-Together. Anyone can apply to join the Chamber of Commerce, but members must fill out a form and pay a fee.  More info is here.

Remembrance Tree Lighting Dec. 8

The 12th Annual Remembrance Tree will be lit on December 8th in a ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Note: This post includes a correction of the date.  The Malden Chamber Of Commerce and OGIA announced the Remembrance Tree Lighting will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. People can purchase lights in remembrance of lost loved ones for $10 per name, and names will be read aloud at the ceremony and mentioned in local media.
