Officials Sign Ballpark Agreement with National Grid
The signed letter of intent between officials with National Grid, the Malden Field of Dreams and Malden Re-Development Authority clears a major hurdle for the project.
A newly signed letter of intent between park officials and National Grid representatives will bring Malden one step closer to a minor league baseball park, officials announced during a press conference Monday. Mayor Gary Christenson, Rep. Ed Markey, Attorney General Martha Coakley, Massachusetts National Grid President Marcy Reed and Boston Baseball Field of Dreams LLC President Alex Bok addressed reporters at Malden City Hall, saying they hope the city will be ready to "play ball" by 2015.
