The Chinese singer wowed audiences in Malden this week.

They might never have imaged that one day they would share the stage, singing a classic duet together. Famous for its world-class universities like Harvard and M.I.T., Boston is also becoming a magnet for talented young musicians and singers from around the world in recent years. On Saturday, November 10, Soprano Yan Lian’s Boston debut concert was held at St. Paul’s Parish Church in Malden, Mass. Another sunny Friday: Maldonians lucked out for the second Friday in a row this week, with highs in the lower 80s and slight winds. Humidity will be under 50% well into the evening, where temperatures will cool into the high 60s. Farmers Market going strong: The Malden Farmers Market had a sizeable turnout earlier this week, with vendors reporting higher-than-expected sales.
