The Mystic Valley Girls Softball team won their 8th game in the last nine games with a 12 – 0 shutout victory over the visiting Panthers from PMA.
The Mystic Valley Girls Softball team won their 8th game in the last nine games with a 12 – 0 shutout victory over the visiting Panthers from PMA.
The Mystic Valley Girls Softball team travelled to Chelsea and came away with a 12 – 0 shutout victory over the host Red Devils.
Their most recent victory came on Wednesday afternoon when they won a close 3-2 game over Commonwealth Athletic Conference rival North Shore/Essex Aggie.

Monday, April 15 was my first time running the Boston Marathon. It was suppose to be a fun day focused on overcoming a strenuous 26.2-mile race, but once I reached the end, I was greeted with panic, caution and tears rather than high fives and celebrations. Wrestler Rufus Arrah Effege, originally from Cameroon, will represent Malden High at the High School Senior Nationals.
Malden High School Senior Rufus Arrah Effege, who boasts a career wrestling record of 77-15 and who placed second in this year’s Division 1 State Wrestling Tournament will complete at the High School Senior Nationals in Virginia from April 4-7. Although Rufus hasn’t yet made a decision about where he will attend college in the fall, he plans to wrestle and looks forward to the exposure of wrestling on a national stage. Rufus, originally from Cameroon, has been a resident of Malden for the past two years residing with his mother and younger sister.

The Malden Catholic boys hockey team wasn't rattled after falling behind 14 seconds into the Super 8 championship game as the Lancers bounced back and went on to win their third straight tournament title. Tyler Sifferlen evened the score at 1-1 in the first period, Austin Goldstein put Malden Catholic on top and Ara Nazarian added a third period tally as well. Austin Prep struck with 26.5 seconds to go, but the Lancers held on for the win. "First shot goals happen so I didn't even think about it.
