Your Guide: Ladies Night Out Run, Wine and Chocolate Event in Malden

There will be a Ladies Night Out Run, Wine and Chocolate event happening this weekend in Malden, according to the Running in the U.S.A. website.

Registration opens at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Malden YMCA, with the 5K race/walk to begin at 4 p.m. 

The women's-only event includes the 5K, where runners will be greeted at the finish line with flowers and a red carpet, followed by hors d'oeuvres, chocolates, wine and sparkling cider. Women must bring their ID to the event.

The top finisher will receive a basket of treats, according to the site. 

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Malden YMCA.

The event costs $60 ($65 on race day) for folks 21 and older, and $30 ($35 on race day) for those under 21. You can register online or download a registration form.
