1. The First Parish in Malden Unitarian Universalist Church will be having their final service of 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, according to the church's website. "For the final service of the year, we will explore holding on to our core values, and letting go of things that are holding us back as we prepare to enter 2014," reads the site. "We’ll also learn about Kwanzaa from FP member Ayana K., and have a burning ceremony in which we write things we want to leave behind on flash paper and burn them! Join us on Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. for worship."

2. First Baptist Church in Malden's Winter Worship will take place in the Parlor on Sunday, Dec. 29. at 11 a.m., according to the church's website.
