The Hobby Bunker in Malden will be having a Breast Cancer Brawl fundraiser starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, according to an event posting on Malden Patch.
The brawl is a tabletop miniatures gaming event held to raise money for Boston Pink and Black, which provides outreach education and support to women to get screened/treatment and provides support to breast cancer survivors, according to the posting.
"At the Breast Cancer Brawl, players participate in a tournament of the popular WARMACHINE tabletop miniatures games. WARMACHINE is a fast-paced strategy and tactics war game set in a steam-and magic-powered fantasy world where knights wielding electrical blades, battle steam piston animated zombies and powerful generals called warcasters (that) direct armies of troops and massive mechanical combat robots," reads the event posting. "Players collect, assemble, and paint fantastically detailed models representing the varied warriors, machines, and creatures in their armies and then face one another in friendly competition on the game table."
There will also be a raffle for a professionally painted dragon from the game line.
