1. The no. 8 ranked Malden High School (4-3 overall, 2-1 league) football team plays at top ranked Everett High (6-1 overall, 4-0 league) at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 in the North Division I quarterfinals, according to the MaxPreps website.
2. The Malden City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the City Council Chamber at Malden Government Center, according to the city website.
