Malden Businessman And Wife Sponsor Theatre Fundraiser

The owner of Combined Properties Inc, Maldonian John Pereira, and his wife Wendy are bringing "The Full Monty" to Stoneham Theater to raise money for Mystic Valley Elder Services.

John Pereira, president and owner of in Malden, and his wife Wendy Pereira are sponsoring a theatre benefit for Mystic Valley Elder Services this year. The May 5 performance of The Full Monty at the Stoneham Theatre will support Mystic Valley’s Gap Fund endowment campaign. There are only a few seats left for this performance.

Combined Properties, a Malden-based real estate firm specializing in commercial and multi-family residential properties on Boston’s north shore, is pleased to support Mystic Valley’s theatre event in its commitment to creating better places to live and work.

“Combined Properties is committed to community involvement and civic participation,” said John Pereira. “We support the Gap Fund because we want all of our neighbors to be healthy, safe, and comfortable.”

The Gap Fund was created by Mystic Valley Elder Services to provide life-supporting assistance to elders who are ineligible for state programs. Through the Gap Fund, Mystic Valley Elder Services assists elders in staying safely and independently in their homes for as long as they desire.

With benefits like the special performance of The Full Monty, Mystic Valley Elder Services aims to raise a $1 million endowment for the Gap Fund that will allow it to be self-sustaining in the years to come. Next year’s theatre benefit, a performance of Thoroughly Modern Millie, has been scheduled for April 27, 2013 and is currently accepting sponsors.
