Malden Residents Share the Worst Part of Their Commute

Malden Patch readers discussed their least favorite part of the commute to work.

What part of your commute annoys you the most?

This week, Malden Patch provided a map showing the average of how long it takes residents to drive to work. And on the Malden Patch Facebook and Twitter pages, we asked Maldonians how long their work commute is, as well as what the worst part of it is.

Here's a look at what our readers had to say about the worst part of their respective commutes:

Reader JoAnn Aloise LaPorte wrote "Salem (Street) has got to be the worst commute from (Malden) High School to Linden...(Four) schools on the same (street) and 7:30 in the morning chaos, and from 3:15 in the afternoon to 4 p.m. (it's) horrible. I avoid Salem (Street) between Salemwood and (Mystic Valley Regional) Charter School (because) traffic's insane."

Todd J. Daly said "Salem Street from 99 to Main (Street) is a living hell every morning."

Rose Shea wrote "Cheverus School to MGH...1 hour at 8 (a.m.)!"

Reader Casey Lyons said "Broadway to the (Malden) High School...(It's) like sardines in a can every morning...on the MBTA."

"Maplewood Square to Boston near Ruggles," wrote reader Ricardo Sedan. "An hour if I take the T, 45 (minutes) if I drive."

RoseAnne Dimino said "LOL, I go to the other end of the world. Somerville. (Six) miles, 45 (minutes). May not be the longest, but gotta be the most ridiculous."

Kristin Muller wrote "Medford (Street) takes me (three) light cycles to get out of my driveway sometimes. And that's in the morning. It has taken me 10 minutes to get from the light at Highland to the light at Pearl. Then you can't get (through) the light because of the line of traffic."

It's not too late to join in the conversation. What's your least favorite part of your work commute? Let us know by posting a comment below.
