The museum holds pieces dating back to the Renaissance, as well as work by local artists like Ernest Ipsen and Albion Bicknell.

This section of the library, typically closed to visitors, is opened for guided tours every second Tuesday of each month.

This month's tour is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at the Converse Memorial Building.

For more information, call the library at (781) 324-0218.
