Goal: To finish strong

Reason for running: My reasons for running vary a little; I wanted to participate partly to show my support for the City of Boston and the Marathon in general, but also wanted to raise money and awareness for the American Liver Foundation.

When my wife ran in 2011 for the American Liver Foundation’s Run for Research Team, there was a boy who approached my wife at the Westin after she ran and he personally thanked her for what she had done, on behalf of him and other patients. This was very moving experience to see a young man at his age do this, it made me realize how important raising money to get these kids and adults healthy was.

That moment was what led me to run for this team in 2012 on one of the hottest Boston Marathon days in history. This year in 2014 it was about the Liver Foundation but also about showing what my hometown is made of, we are truly Boston Strong and we will overcome the tragedy of 2013.
