Clark Attends No More Names Rally

BOSTON, MA—Senator Katherine Clark joined Senator Elizabeth Warren, Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Senator Ed Markey and other state leaders in her call to end gun violence at the No More Names rally in Boston on Wednesday, August 28.

As a member of the Public Safety Committee, Senator Clark has called for common-sense gun law reforms and was invited to the event by Mayor Menino. Boston was the latest stop on the tour held by the Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a bipartisan coalition of nearly 1,000 mayors from across the country dedicated to making communities safer by keeping illegal guns out of dangerous hands.

“I was honored to be part of the No More Names Rally as we remembered those killed by gun violence. Every day in this country we lose eight children to gun violence, and we should treat this for what it is: a public health epidemic,” said Senator Clark.  “This event sent a powerful message that only by working together will we create a world in which all our kids will live in safer, more secure communities, go to school without the risk of violence, and thrive in happy, strong and safe relationships.”
