In our latest You Ask, Patch Answers post, we answer the following question: Where are the polling places for the municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Malden?

On election day, voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at several polling places around the city. Here's where you can find out where to vote.

On Sept. 17, voters participated in a preliminary election which narrowed the contested races to two candidates. Here's a look at the contested races that will appear on the ballot:

Contested Races

Seven candidates are looking to be elected as a councillor-at-large in Malden. Three of the candidates will be elected to two-year terms. Here are the candidates:

  • Jay Lamport
  • Robert McCarthy, Jr.
  • Gladys Rivera Rogers
Two candidates are vying for a two-year seat as a Ward 8 City Councillor, including:
  • George Laskey
  • Jadeane Sica
Two candidates are seeking a two-year seat as a Ward 7 School Committee member, including:
  • Kevin Casucci
  • Catherine Bordonaro
Two candidates are vying for a two-year seat as a Ward 6 City Councillor, including:
  • Neil Kinnon
  • John Torosian
Two candidates are seeking a two-year seat as a Ward 3 School Committee member, including:
  • James Holland
