Malden, Here Are Your Candidates

Barring any unforeseen drop-outs or challenges, these names should appear on the ballot for both the general election and some ward-by-ward preliminaries.

It's a full plate for this year's local elections - 33 candidates are vying for 19 seats at city hall this year.

As it stands now, preliminary elections are likely for school committee in Wards 1 and 3, and for councillor in Ward 8.  Those votes will be held on Sept. 17.

"The winners of these races, along with candidates who do not require a preliminary, will appear on the November ballot," City Clerk Karen Anderson said.
