Malden Woman, Others Arrested for Sex Slavery

Wenjie Dong, 49, of Malden, was arrested Thursday night and faces arraignment Friday for charges of sex trafficking and keeping a house of prostitution.

MALDEN, MA -- Officials arrested three people for charges related to sex slavery in six Massachusetts and New Hampshire towns Thursday, arresting three people. 

Wenjie Dong, 49, of Malden, was arrested Thursday night and faces arraignment Friday for charges of sex trafficking and keeping a house of prostitution.

Two others, Zhen Lai, 37, of Quincy and Joseph Girouard, 55, of Revere, were also arrested and face similar charges.

The investigation by state and federal officials centers around Asian massage parlors and allegations of prostitution and human sex trafficking, according to Boston.com. 

Investigators were in Malden, Revere, Quincy, Kingston and Wellesley, Mass., Thursday, and Manchester, N.H.

The owners of massage parlors in Wellesley and Revere were arrested Thursday in connection with human trafficking and prostitution, according to a press release from Attorney General Martha Coakley's office. 

Officials say Sun Spa (also known as Sun Studio) in Wellesley, owned by Lai and Girouard, and Bodywork in Revere, also owned by the men, had masseuses who allegedly offered sexual activity in exchange for cash tips.

Search warrants were executed at both massage parlors Thursday, according to the press release. 

Lai and Girouard are being charged with one count of sex trafficking and keeping a house of ill fame, the AG's press release said. Lai will be arrainged in Dedham District Court Friday, while Girouard will be arraigned Friday in Chelsea District Court.
