Several Assault Arrests Made in Malden

Here are arrests made by Malden Police between Oct. 28-Nov. 3:

Nov. 3

9:46 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street for a report of an assault and battery in progress. Jacques Thomas, of 18 Webster Ave., Somerville, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Nov. 2

5:04 a.m.: Police conducted a general investigation on Harris Street. Liang Shnghai, of 524 Highland Ave., Malden, was arrested and charged with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older.

Oct. 31

10:20 a.m.: Police were called to Pearson Terrace on a report of an assault in progress. Nerlande Sanon, of 5 Pearson Terrace, Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Oct. 30

6:14 a.m.: Police responded to Bowman Street on a report of an assault and battery in progress. Kristin MacKenzie, of 7 Valley St., Saugus, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. 

11:53 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Salem Street. Oscar Alarcon, of 27 Playstead Road, Malden, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Oct. 29

10:51 p.m.: Police were called to Salem Street on a report of a 911 hangup. Edit Otero, of 1085 Salem St., Malden, was arrested.

8:26 p.m.: Police responded to Fizz Ed'z Bar & Grille on Pleasant Street for a report of a restraining order violation. Deborah Closs, of 454 Washington Ave., Chelsea, was arrested and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.

Oct. 28

6:18 p.m.: Police responded to Linden Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Yan Liu, pf 163 Linden Ave., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
