Police: Child Porn Suspect Arrested For Violating Probation

Suspect was spotted near young children at Malden Public Library, police said.

A man charged with viewing and printing out images of child pornography on a Medford Public Library computer was arrested again Thursday after he was spotted at the Malden Public Library, according to police.

James Judge, 57, was arrested at his 106 Fellsway West home about 12 p.m. Thursday after he was allegedly spotted near young children at Malden Public Library, Medford police Lt. Paul Covino said Thursday.

He was charged distributing material of a child in the nude, distributing material of a child in a sexual act and possession of child pornography, according to court records.

After the initial arrest, a Somerville District Court judge released him on $1,000 bail, on condition that he have no contact with childen, stay away from schools, libraries, parks and day care centers, and that he submit to GPS monitoring, according to court records.

Malden police received a tip by phone call that Judge was at Malden Library, a violation of the bail terms, and he was subsequently arrested at his home in Medford Thursday, Covino said.

Covino previously said Judge was also under investigation by U.S. Postal Service Inspectors on child porn-releated charges.
