Melrose Man Facing Possession of Child Pornography Charges: A Melrose man was arraigned on possession of child pornography charges Friday in a Malden court, announced Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone and Melrose Police Chief Michael Lyle in a press statement.

Thomas Lynch, 50, of Melrose, was arraigned Friday in Malden District Court on two charges of possession of child pornography and possession of child pornography with intent to distribute, according to the statement.

: A 26-year-old Boston man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly holding a pregnant woman against her will in a Tewksbury motel and then beating her when she tried to escape.

Mark Silvia, of 39 Boylston St, was arrested after police responded to a 911 call from a guest at the Motel Caswell, reporting a possible domestic assault in the adjacent room.

: Recently, five armed robberies have occurred at Melrose area businesses and police believe the suspect in each case is the same person.

Since Oct. 30, five armed robberies—including one at the DB Mart convenience store and another at Sunset Tanning in Stoneham—have taken place in the area, including one in Melrose, Winchester and Woburn, according to investigators.

Driver Busted After Throwing Bottle at Cop's Car: A Medford man allegedly threw a bottle at the wrong car.

According to a Somerville Police report, an officer driving his personal car down Broadway near Ball Square at about 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 heard someone honking continuously at him.

The officer looked in his rearview mirror and saw a black Mercedes revving its engine and swerving in and out of traffic, into the opposite lane with heavy oncoming traffic, in an attempt to pass, the report says.

Four Drunk Driving Arrests And a Drug Bust Within An HourIt was a busy weekend for the Tewksbury Police Department.

Specifically, the shift working Saturday night into Sunday morning (Nov. 3-4) had their hands full, making arrests and processing suspects.

From 1:07 to 2:02 a.m. on Sunday, police made four arrests for alleged drunk driving and a fifth for drug possession.
