Medford Man Allegedly Kicks Stranger in Head at Malden Center Station

The unprovoked attack occurred Tuesday night, according to police.

A 23-year-old Medford man and his companion allegedly attacked a random stranger at the Malden Center Station Tuesday night.

Gary Biddiscombe and his companion were allegedly yelling obscenities and provoking fights with other passengers on an Orange Line train. When the train arrived in Malden Center at about 9:30 p.m., Biddiscombe’s companion sucker punched a male passenger and then Biddiscombe kicked the man in the head, according to MBTA Transit Police.

Biddiscombe was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot). MBTA Transit Police expected to file assault charges against Biddiscombe’s companion as well.
