An Everett man was arrested by police early Sunday morning after he allegedly opened fire on an acquaintance near Elmwood Pharmacy.
Anontio Lacey, no age given, was apprehended in Chelsea after police secured a warrant for his arrest, Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said. He faces at least one charge of assault with intent to murder.
Police also seized a “large amount” of drugs and cash at the property, Gatcomb said. It was not immediately clear what charges, if any, Lacey would face as a result.
The attack took place near Elmwood Pharmacy near the Malden Center T Stop, and was not a random act, Gatcomb said.
Lacey allegedly pulled up to the victim in his car as he was walking his dog. An argument ensued, during which Lacey allegedly withdrew a handgun. As the victim ran, he said Lacey fired a single shot.
The victim suffered no injuries.
Information on Lacey's court dates were not immediately available Tuesday night.
