Man Arrested for Alleged Attempted Murder

The Malden Police Department provided the following information. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Police said a Revere man was arrested last week, after allegedly breaking into his girlfriend's apartment and strangling her. 

Michael Aresco reportedly fled the scene of the Fairfield Avenue attack and was later apprehended, Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said. 

Aresco was arrested for alleged attempted murder and daytime breaking and entering with a person in fear.

June 24

4:14 p.m.: Kerah Barros of 265 Highland Ave. in Quincy was arrested for alleged shoplifting by aspiration.

June 25
7:42 p.m.: Officers arrested Robert Grover, from 20 Grover St. in Malden for alleged assault and battery. 

June 26
8:06 a.m.: Officers arrested Michael Aresco from 15 Douglas St. in Revere for alleged attempted murder, and felony breaking and entering.
6:58 p.m.: Officers arrested Robert Twyman from 143 Boylston St. in Malden for allegedly operating with a suspended license. 
9:36 p.m.: Officers arrested John Brennan from 89 Garfield Rd. in Dedham for alleged assault and battery and possession of an illegal knife. 

June 27
4:05 p.m.: Officers arrested Davina Iarossi from 38 Clapp St. in Malden for alleged larceny of a controlled substance. 
4:52 p.m.: Officers arrested Timothy Walsh of 157 Pleasant St. in Melrose for alleged felony daytime breaking and entering. 
9:21 p.m.: Officers arrested Samit Not of 43 Willow St. in Malden for alleged driving with a suspended license. 

June 29
10:40 p.m.: John Rodriguez is arrested on a warrant charge. 

June 30 
12:53 p.m.: Officers arrested Eudalo Echevarria from 585 Shirley St. in Winthrop alleged reckless operation, speeding and failure to stop for police.
