Malden Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

Here are arrests made by Malden Police between Jan. 13-15:

Malden Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

At 2:46 p.m. Jan. 15, Malden Police arrested Maria Johnson-Kelly, of 66 Lowell St., Malden, at her home on warrants charging her with distributing a class A drug, possession of a class A drug with intention to distribute and a drug violation near a school. 

Jan. 15

3:51 a.m.: Police were called to Salem Street on a report of an assault. Paul Bedard, of 780 Albany St., Boston, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

9:56 a.m.: Police responded to Summer Street and arrested Carl Conway II, of 8 Chase St., Lynn, and charged him with being a fugitive from justice without a warrant.

10:59 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Russell Street. Charlene Berrigan, of 6 Garden Terrace, Woburn, was arrested and charged with being present where heroin is kept, and John Leccese, of 366 William St., Stoneham, was also arrested and charged with possession of a class A drug and possession of an illegal knife.

5:59 p.m.: Police were called to Stop & Shop Supermarket on Charles Street for a report of shoplifting. Marounane Guerfaoui, of Malden, and Marouan Lahmar, of 124 Garfield Ave., Revere, were both arrested and each charged with shoplifting be concealing merchandise. 

Jan. 14

9:03 a.m.: Police made a motor vehicle stop on Broadway. Nhat Nguyen, of 34 Tilden Dr., Quincy, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failing to obey a stop sign.

2:10 p.m.: Police arrested Deborah Closs, of 29 Lora St., Malden, on a warrant on Salem Street.

4:43 p.m.: Police responded to the Oak Grove MBTA Station on Washington Street to check on a person's well being. Brian Coleman, homeless, was arrested and charged with drinking in public.
