Malden Police announced the arrest of yet another alleged drug dealer Tuesday, with investigators seizing "a large quantity" of cocaine, scales and cash totaling near $11,000.
Police obtained a search warrant for the home of Shawn Neely, 43, of 556 Main St. in Malden, who was subsequently arrested for alleged class B drug possession with intent to distribute and drug violations near a school.
He told police the cash was savings from his social security checks, Lt. Det. Marc Gatcomb said in an e-mail.
"Another superior job by the drug unit which works tirelessly to rid drug dealers from Malden," he wrote.
Neely was arraigned in Malden District Court Wednesday and held on $100,000 bail.
