Malden Man Crashes Friend’s 1971 Corvette Into Maine Marsh
The man's bad day then continued, as he was arrested on a warrant.
A 56-year-old Malden man crashed his friend’s 1971 Corvette into a marsh in Wells, Maine, on Sunday evening, according to the Portland Press Herald.
Philip G. Aleo was driving his friend’s red Corvette Stingray, valued at $20,000, when he left Bourne Avenue in Wells and landed in 2 feet of saltwater, according to the report.
After Aleo was rescued from the car’s roof, he was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and unpaid fines.

Wells Police Lt. Jerry Congdon told the Press Herald, “Not only did [Aleo] ruin a friend’s car, he also got arrested. So it was not his best day. I imagine someone’s crying.”
No word on if the friends are still speaking.
