Malden Man Arrested on Several Assault & Battery Charges

Here are arrests made by Malden Police between Oct. 16-22:

Malden Man Arrested on Several Assault & Battery Charges

At 7:23 p.m. Oct. 20, Malden Police responded to Sterling Street for a report of a disturbance. Carlos Lara, of 53 Sterling St., Malden, was arrested and charged with five counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of malicious destruction of property over $250 and a count of disorderly conduct.

Oct. 21

10:29 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Harvard Street. Edward Barry, of 18 Essex St., Malden, was arrested.

11:40 a.m.: Police were called to the Malden Center MBTA Station on Commercial Street on a report of a fight. Jonathan Devereaux, of 67 Fells Ave., Medford, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

3:42 p.m.: Police responded to Coytemore Lea Park on Clifton Street for a report of drug activity. Anthony Vatalaro, of 48 Spring St., Malden, was arrested.

Oct. 20

12:19 a.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop near Dockside Restaurant on Medford Street. Richard Botti, of 61 South St., Franklin, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle after license suspension. 

3:52 p.m.: Police were called to Stop & Shop Supermarket on Charles Street for a report of shoplifting. Scott Sears, of 110 Pleasant St., Malden, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

Oct. 19

8:38 p.m.: Police were called to the Econo Lodge on Broadway Street for a trespass-related call. Daniel Sullivan, of 46 Central Ave., Everett, was arrested and charged with unarmed assault and burglary, unarmed robbery, assault and battery, malicious destruction of property over $250 and threatening to commit a crime.

Oct. 17

5:04 p.m.: Police conducted a general investigation on Bowman Street. Anthony Dicastro, of 24 Bowman St., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

5:24 p.m.: Police responded to Hanover Street on a report of assault and battery in progress. Heather Radigan, of 21 Hanover St., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault and battery. Paul Radigan, also of 21 Hanover St., Malden, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm without a FID card.
