Malden Man Accused of Assault With a Dangerous Weapon
At 10:57 p.m. Jan. 16, Malden Police were called to Converse Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Mark Newhall, of 120 Converse Ave., Malden, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, a kitchen knife.
Jan. 19
2:38 p.m.: Police were called to the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Charles Street on a report of shoplifting. Ying Chen, of 108 Whitman St., Malden, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation.
Jan. 17-18
No arrests listed.
Jan. 16
5:03 a.m.: Police responded to Sylvan Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage. Brandon Naylor, of 19 Waite St., Malden, was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
