I used to come here to read about the crime in the city, now it seems like it's being covered up. That makes the Patch no different than city hall. No guts, no glory.
Kristen R September 15, 2012 at 07:17 PM
Why the anger? All I asked is what was happening with all the police last night.
jirkyrick September 15, 2012 at 07:27 PM
dont know, the stabbing was a few days ago and not reported
Tony H. September 15, 2012 at 08:23 PM
P.S. I just deleted my own post. Best to wait for an official statement on the results from last night's impressive show of force.
DannyBoy September 15, 2012 at 08:24 PM
Tony, if what you say is true and describes what really happened last night, then this is indeed wonderful news for the residents and community in Malden in terms of public safety and cutting down on crime. We shall find out when this gets reported in the news.
jirkyrick September 15, 2012 at 08:53 PM
well if it was true, that is excellent news. If we had Howard for Mayor still they would be vandalizing his car while was giving a speech of how there is no crime problem. Good going Mayor Christenson!!!
Diana September 15, 2012 at 09:35 PM
Apparently you only want to read about crime in the city, or you'd have noticed the announcement that Chris is on vacation. As I recall, content used to be a bit thin when Roberto went on vacation, too.
Dan O'Brien September 15, 2012 at 09:44 PM
Gee Diana, you are so protective of Chris he should pay you a salary. Do you ever mind your own business?
Diana September 15, 2012 at 09:47 PM
I'm protective of truth and facts and stuff. Oh, and anything you post here is the business of everyone who reads here, that's how this works. Why post if you don't want discussion?
Janine September 15, 2012 at 09:53 PM
Could you please do your post again Tony I missed it.
Mr Iamnottheteacher September 15, 2012 at 10:10 PM
Diana you seem to bring out the negative on every topic. No matter what it is, you have to put in your 50 cents. I just found out what a Troll is and you fit that definition to a T. At times you should just keep your comments to yourself because even though you are a personal friend of the editor, you are mighty annoying.
Diana September 15, 2012 at 10:18 PM
So when people criticize the editor for not posting a story, and I point out that the editor is on vacation, I'm being negative? I'm proud of you for learning a new word recently, but there's no reason to stop at one. Feel free to look up "negative" too.
david mokal September 15, 2012 at 10:32 PM
UT OH ! Nother P'n Contest! Here we go again. I'm too stooopid to know all these big words. LOL We should call this "The Malden Bash" :>)
jirkyrick September 15, 2012 at 10:33 PM
then who is posting stories while he is on vacation? there still seems to be updates on Malden Patch without him, or does Chris just handle the crime stories himself
david mokal September 15, 2012 at 10:40 PM
Didnt Take me long to figure that out. Not hard to find out who is who and who is someones buddy. Allways the same 3 on one. Just follow on Twitter and Facebook. There's no Pool Rules here on Patch. Just Cyber bullying by the word nerds.I don click on there silly links either. Viruses.
Diana September 15, 2012 at 10:48 PM
The regional editor is covering. He's a busy guy. Many of the stories posted this week actually pertain to a number of communities, they're cross-posted across a number of Patches.. http://malden.patch.com/articles/partly-cloudy-skies-a-guest-editor-takes-the-reigns-and-more-ba4f693c
Mr Iamnottheteacher September 15, 2012 at 10:57 PM
Your a smart woman, learn to understand I said every topic. I know who is on vacation. You have a little brown spot on your nose hunny.
Janine September 15, 2012 at 10:59 PM
Are you people referring to all the police dogs here last night? I would love to hear the story about that.
Diana September 15, 2012 at 11:14 PM
And you seem like a reasonably smart man, so you should understand that you only notice the posts that annoy you. Not your fault, human nature. It's called "selection bias." It can be overcome, if you're conscious of it and wish to approach information critically and objectively, rather than deciding in a kneejerk fashion to reject the data because you don't care for the source. Good luck!
DannyBoy September 15, 2012 at 11:17 PM
LOL, jirkyrick. That's a good one! I attribute the fact that the former mayor's car was broken into to Karma, pure and simple.
Mr Iamnottheteacher September 15, 2012 at 11:38 PM
Again, Diane, like I said .....every post. I seen it start in the Warren post you insulting people who do not agree with her or you. Now that you are friends with the editor, you seem to take your opinions to a different level. You are no doubt an educated woman, and would make a great lawyer. But you can go overboard and add fuel to the fire.
DannyBoy September 16, 2012 at 12:12 AM
Mr Iamnottheteacher: how do you know that Diana is friendly with the editor? And about that article about Elizabeth Warren, if you reread all the comments, Diana was not the only one hurling insults at others; others who disagreed with her, were insulting her at the same time, calling her names like "cat lady" and "Kitty". So it cuts both ways.
Meggle September 16, 2012 at 02:47 AM
Man, it's kind of hypocritical to call it cyber bullying when you've called me names a few times, Mokal, and I've never insulted you.
Mr Iamnottheteacher September 16, 2012 at 03:32 AM
But you can't feed into that. It is hard not to but come, Diana is smarter then the average poster so why toss insults? Just laugh at them and soon they will fade away. But again, everyone is different. I like you all even if we do not agree. You learn many things with an open mind. Some minds are so closed they will never grow. In my long life I have learned more from people that I disagree with.
Diana September 16, 2012 at 02:04 PM
Iamnot, if you've really read my posts, then you may notice that while I'm generally snarky, I'm not truly insulting to people who simply disagree with me. To earn my contempt, you have to either disseminate misinformation or be hostile to or dismissive of actual facts. As a fr'instance, let's break down this thread, shall we? It's fairly representative. "A story wasn't posted. That's because Patch sucks and the editor is covering for the Mayor!" "Um, the editor is on vacation." "Shut up you bully!!!" I'm not the problem here.
david mokal September 16, 2012 at 02:52 PM
Absolutly its good to have your mind grow and to be open minded but when one's head grows so thats all they can do is head butt you thats a sad thing. I never ever called anyone any names on this I was jumped first by crappin on me me on my spelling. I just mentioned I dont click on links not good. So as far as these posts go and the Patch they can stick it where the sun dont shine means nothing to me. Ya' All should go to Anger Management Classes.
david mokal September 16, 2012 at 02:55 PM
Janine they were after 5 males with a gun on and around Holyoke Street and also there was a bank robbery in Saugus as well.
david mokal September 16, 2012 at 03:56 PM
"If It Looks Like A Duck...Quacks Like A Duck...It Must Be a Duck !"
david mokal September 16, 2012 at 03:58 PM
Nah I checked into it $3,000.00 For a good one.
david mokal September 16, 2012 at 04:03 PM
Its not the Mayor It's the Devolpers and Real Estate companies that control what goes out there. They want to sell property so they contribute to this paper and pay for adds. Lawyers and Real Estate have licences to steal. Just look what they did to this country and they all walked away from fudging the numbers.
