Broadway Drug Bust Nets More Than 100 Grams of Cocaine, 2 Arrests

Members of the Malden Police Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a 500 Broadway apartment at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

The bust netted more than 100 grams of cocaine, powdered and crack cocaine, and $6,000 in cash, according to police. It also led to the arrests of 29-year-old Edwin Andre Saintiche and Wendy Michelle Newhall, 39, both of 500 Broadway, police said.

Saintiche is facing the following charges: trafficking cocaine over 100 grams, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, possession with intent to distribute Class A heroin, possession with intent to distribute Class B suboxone, possession with intent to distribute Class B Percocet and possession with intent to distribute Class C trazodone, alprazolam and naproxen.

Newhall was charged with, trafficking cocaine over 100 grams, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act and possession with intent to distribute Class B Percocet.

The bust was the result of a multi-week investigation, police said.

So it's 1:45pm March 1st. Barely 48hrs from the time of the incident above. The male suspect listed above has evidently already been released. MPD were just called to the address for him being there, after being trespassed by property management. And people wonder why we can't clean the streets up in this State. Unreal.

It sure is Mathew. It must be frustrating for the Police as well. But he still has to go to trail. That's why many people Ive talked to dont care anymore because the judges are cutting them loose.
