2 Level 3 Sex Offenders Move to Malden

Level 3 sex offenders pose a 'high risk to reoffend,' according to the state.

Two Level 3 sex offenders recently moved to Malden, according to police.

Mark Gregory Katz, 54, (pictured left) moved from Chelsea to 68 Summer St. in Malden. Ronald Tyrone Reaves, 53, (pictured right), moved to 556 Main St., No. 7, in Malden. Reaves works on Everberg Road in Woburn.

Katz has a lengthy record. In 1988, he was convicted of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over. And then in 1992, he was convicted on seven counts – four were for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and three were for rape and abuse of a child. Katz is 6-foot-1, about 220 pounds.

Reaves was convicted of rape and abuse of a child in 2001. He is 5-foot-10, about 230 pounds.

The Level 3 sex offender designation is reserved for the state’s most severe offenders. Level 3 sex offenders pose a “high risk to reoffend,” according to the state.
