The following is from Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home.
Richard J. McIsaac, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 62.
Born in Cambridge on Oct. 14, 1951, he was the son of the late Augustin and Henrietta (Publicova) McIsaac. Richard was raised and educated in Cambridge at the Rindge and Latin School. In 1976, while working within the building of the Cambridge Registry of Deeds, he laid eyes on the love of his life, Andrea McCarthy. After some persistence, Andrea gave in to Richard and the couple started dating. The two eventually were wed in St. Catherine’s Church in Somerville on Sept. 26, 1982. The couple spent over 31 years in marriage together raising their children until Richard’s passing. He was employed for over 23 years at Boston University as the assistant director of the school’s rental properties. A humble and polite gentleman, Richard will be missed by the family he was so dedicated to and adored by.
