With a 3-0 over Pope John on Saturday the Mystic Valley Volleyball team qualified for the State Tournament. This marks the first time in school history that the volleyball team will play in the tournament.
The girls came out and played strong from the start taking the first set 25-13. The girls then overcame an 8 to 3 start in the second set to win 25-16. Things were tight in the third set but the Eagles were still able to close it out 25-23 to win in straight sets.
“ We really have to concentrate and do things right from start to finish. I am happy for the girls. They worked hard, and now they get to compete in the post season” said Coach Marc Arria.
