Shane Kinnon Awarded Swim Scholarship
Mystic Valley swim star, Shane Kinnon, will be going to the University of Maine in Orono, Maine this fall on a swim scholarship. He is the first student in school history to receive a Division One Athletic Scholarship. Kinnon was the 2012 Commonwealth Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player. He was a 5 time swim all star team member. He currently holds the school record for best time in the 200 Individual Medley, 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. He is also a member of the team that holds the record for 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Medley.

Mystic Valley Swim Coach, Alex Dan said “Shane is a special swimmer with a great work ethic and a heart of gold. He has seen and been responsible for a great deal of success during his six years with this team, and his leadership and consistency will be missed.”
Shane lives in Malden with his parents Lee and Kathy and his brothers Ian and Colin and his sisters Meghan & Joan.
