Mystic Valley Students See Lincoln

High School Travels to See Lincoln

The whole Mystic Valley High School traveled to see Lincoln on Tuesday, December 7th. Before viewing the movie, students participated in lessons involving Abraham Lincoln in Math, Science, English and History classes. After watching the movie, students completed a six word story based off of the movie. All the stories were read and evaluated by the English teachers, who then selected three winners.

The three winners had their story posted on the main floor bulletin board. They were also given a hard cover copy of Doris Kearns Goodwin’s book, Team of Rivals, from which the movie was based.

The winners: “A man immortalized, a people freed.” – Marvin Morisset, “Fate of many, chosen by few.” – Erin Kinnon and “Thirteen white papers. Wet black ink.” – Michee Lebrun
