Mystic Valley Class of 2013 Graduates

Seventy-seven students graduated from the Mystic Valley Regional Charter School on Friday, June 14th. The Commencement Ceremony was held at the school’s new facility on Eastern Avenue. Ninety-two percent of the graduates will be enrolling in a four year college in the fall. Forty of the graduates were awarded the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship which entitles them to attend any state college or university tuition free.

The program began when Mystic Valley’s Assistant Director for Grades 9-12, George Benzie, spoke briefly to the graduates and then introduced Salutatorian, Robert DeSantis, and Valedictorian, Sophie Carroll. State Representative Russell Holmes, one of the lead co-sponsors of the pending legislation aimed at abolishing cap on charter school enrollment delivered the Commencement Address.
