The Lynn Tech game was played under the lights of Lynn's Manning Field in front of a good showing of Mystic Valley soccer parents.

Although they started slowly in the first half, the Eagles offense came to life in the second, with a few brilliant individual finishes - Samantha Rizzo scored a memorable goal on a fierce right foot shot from just inside the 18 yard box.

Vanessa Kreis continued her productive first year with a hard working display. She was rewarded after she finished off an efficient passing movement with a shot that found the back of the net at the far post. Sophomore Katarina DiPlacido was the stand out performer scoring two goals.

The Whittier game was played in very high winds, which influenced the defensive display of both teams. Mystic Valley was down 1-0 at half time, but put in a decent first half performance.

The second half saw the Eagles score three unanswered goals, the first coming from stand out performer Feliciana Panza, who fired a shot from outside the box. Katarina Diplacido continued her fine form by scoring the next two goals.  Her second goal which turned out to be the match winner was a fantastic low drive after rounding two Whittier defenders and an oncoming goal keeper.  Whittier added a second goal late on but Mystic Valley regained control of the match and finished strongly.

Katarina Diplacido is only a sophomore but leads the team in goals and total points. She has a total of 9 goals in as many games. Equally as impressive has been the play of Jackie Lane in net, who recorded seven shut outs in nine matches! The incredible team defense has allowed only three goals all season, an average of .33 goals per game!

The team stands at 6-1-2 at the half way point of the season.
