The girls’ team toughed out a victory in a very competitive race by a score of 27-28, led by Sophomore Brittany Lin who finished in 2nd place overall. She was then followed by Sophomore Vanessa LoChirco (3rd place overall) and Junior Elise Sheehan (6th place overall).
The wins put the Girls team at 7-2 for the season while the Boys stand at 4-4.
After the meet Coach Jon Bush said that “I’m very happy for both teams. The boys have regained confidence after losing a few tough races in a row. The girls’ team should be extremely proud of the way they raced, as they came out on the winning end of a very close score. Both teams buy into the fact that it’s a team sport and that the runners in the middle are just as important as the runners at the top. “
