Mystic Valley 5th & 6th Grade Science Fair

Science Fair

The Mystic Valley Charter School recently held its annual 5th & 6th grade Science Fair. All students in grades 5 and 6 performed an experiment dealing with the transference of energy.  Judging for the competition was done by students from the high school and several representatives from the community.

The Einstein Award for the top project was won by Ethan Nguyen, Jonah Crain and Jimmy Arneil (Grade 5) for their project “Power of Composite” which sought to determine what kind of baseball bat material was best for hitting the ball.

Awards were also given for 1st: Omar Alani (Grade 6) – “Building a Radio”; 2nd:  Tyler Story, Joe Mullen (Grade 5) – “Stretching the Limits” ;  Arya Kurian (Grade 5) – “Ballectricity” and Honorable Mention:  Lauren Maher, Karen Mortimer, Hannah DiGiovanni (Grade 6) – “Windmill Energy”.
