Mystic Valley Girls Cross Country Wins Tri-Meet
The Mystic Valley Cross Country team raced in a Tri-Meet against Chelsea High School and Presentation of Mary Academy on Thursday afternoon.

The Girls team was victorious in both meets, defeating PMA by a score of 22-39 and Chelsea by a score of 22-35. The Girls were led by Sophomore Brittany Lin, who came in 2nd place overall at a time of 23:33 due to some late race heroic sprinting. She was followed by Sophomore Vanessa LoChirco (4th overall, 24:21) and Junior Elise Sheehan (6th overall, 24:46).
The Boys team split their meets, defeating PMA by a score of 15-50 but losing to Chelsea by a score of 19-39. The Boys were led by Sophomore Patrick McPherson who came in 2nd overall with a time of 18:43. He was followed by Senior Kyle Hanson (7th overall, 19:30) and Freshman Christian Kinnon (8th overall, 19:49).

After the meet coach Jon Bush commented: “ both teams should be proud of the way they raced. The Girls continue to win as a unit, and a do a great job of pushing each other throughout the race to keep up their pace.”
