MVRCS Football Falls to Minuteman High

Mystic Valley Regional Charter School blogger Martin Gately breaks down the school's Thursday football game.

Things started out well for the Mystic Valley football on Thanksgiving morning.

It was a beautiful morning for the game - the temperature was unseasonably warm and a large contingent of Mystic Valley fans came out for the annual pre-game breakfast and the game.

The game started off perfectly when Calvin Phung broke through the Lexington line and ran down the left sideline for 49 yards and a touchdown. The point after failed and then Minuteman took over.

The Mustangs matched the Eagles’ opening drive score and then some scoring 46 unanswered points before the Eagles scored another touchdown on a 47 yard run by Amro Ali.

The Eagles ran the ball in for the two point conversion and the game ended with the score 46-14 Minuteman.
