Mystic Valley Cross Country Sweeps Lynn Tech
The Mystic Valley boys and girls cross country teams beat Lynn Tech on Monday afternoon. The boys’ team won 15-44 with the Eagles occupying the first five winning positions. Sophomore Pat McPherson took 1st place overall with a time of 20:26. Senior Pat Moran came in 2nd with a time of 20:42, while Freshman Christian Kinnon took 3rd with a time of 21:12.
The girls’ team won 15-50. The Mystic Valley girls occupied the first 9 winning positions and were led by Sophomore Vanessa LoChirco who took 1st place with a time of 25:45. She was followed by Sophomore Brittany Lin at 26:07, while Junior Elise Sheehan came in 3rd at 27:17.

“I’m proud of both teams for obtaining their first wins of the season on a difficult course. Both teams gave great effort and the win gives us confidence moving forward with the season. I’m particularly happy for the girls’ team, who all improved their times from the first meet last week. As long as they keep putting forth hard work in practices, they’ll see personal improvement all season long” said coach, Jon Bush after the meet.
