Boys Soccer Wins

Mystic Valley Boys Soccer Beats Pope John

The boys’ soccer team beat Pope John yesterday 4-1. The win brings the team’s record up to 3-1-1.

Tomas Drahos led the offense with a hat trick and Sai Yarram picked up his first goal. The boys had a tough time adjusting in the first half with several injuries plaguing the team, but the younger members are starting to step up and the remaining seniors are holding their own well. TJ Flaherty and Dino Goranovic did a great job controlling the middle of the field and goalkeeper Michael Russo-Penta backed by Giuseppe Iacovone, Scott Nguyen, Elvent Chenh Tu, and 8th grader Chris Poulos held a solid defense the second half of the game. The team worked well as a unit and is showing improvement.
