Malden Applebee's Gets the Boot

Well, there goes the neighborhood.

Anyone who came to Applebee's on Saturday received word that our location will be shutting it's doors on August 25th at 8pm. 

General Managers, local managers, and HR made an appearance that morning to tell employees the news. Explaining that the landlord- the Evil Empire that is Stop and Shop- has decided to raise the lease agreement. Managers proclaimed that they had taken every trick in the book to bargain with the landlord, but no agreement could be made. Employees were assured relocation will be smooth, and look forward to continuing their dedication to the family.

Employees of this location are rallying for a citywide farewell party on the evening of their departure. For 15 years, they have become a part of Malden, knowing everyone that comes in and making an effort to connect with the willing. They have hosted countless graduations, wedding parties, birthdays, fund raisers, anniversaries, first dates and more through the years. Many residents have become quite attached to the servers and managers and return weekly. 

Please, spread the word of the Farewell Party. It will take place on Sunday August 25th, 2013 and will run all day until doors lock.
