Play indoor soccer starting in January by registering now. Spring soccer doesn't start until April, but register now to save money and save yourself a spot on a team!

Youth Soccer Fall Registration is Open

Registration is now open for the Malden Youth Soccer 2014 Winter and Spring seasons, for kids ages 4-19. MYS welcomes players of every skill level, from beginners through ball jugglers.

In the Winter, there are sessions for players ages 4-19 on Sundays at the Salemwood gym. The younger age groups (U6-U14) do skills work. Everyone gets to play in age-based scrimmages. The Winter season runs January 5 through March 9; registration is only $50.

In the Spring, Malden Youth Soccer runs co-ed intown leagues for children under 6 (U6, born 8/1/2007 - 4/15/10) and under 9 (U9, born 1/1/2005 - 7/31/2007). U6 and U9 teams have one session per week on, U6 on Saturdays and U9 on Sundays. During each session, the children learn ball handling skills, like dribbling, passing and shooting, and then have a scrimmage against another team. Typically, the younger players bounce with joy whenever they kick the ball. By U9, they're learning the rules of the game and many gain a more competitive spirit.

MYS travel teams play against other towns in the Middlesex Youth Soccer League. This Spring there will be boys and girls U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 or U19 teams. Travel teams are based on skill level so that everyone can become a better player without either being overshadowed or held back and so that the teams are competitive in their Middlesex divisions. Teams practice twice a week for 90 minutes to 2 hours on days determined by the coach. Games are on Saturdays, half at home and half away.

The Spring season runs from April 5 through June 19. The standard registration fee for U6/U9 is $85, and for U10-U19 is $95. Register in November, and you will save $10! Travel players who wait until January will be charged a $15 late fee.  Uniforms are provided to all players, including socks, shorts and shirt. All the players need are shin guards, cleats, and a ball: size 3 for U6/U9, size 4 for U10/U12, and size 5 for U14 and up.

Please register online at maldenyouthsoccer.org. If you cannot register online, please email info@maldenyouthsoccer.org or call (339) 224-4115.
