Berwick is a Handsome and Cuddly Young Guy

This two-year-old, fit and trim medium-sized cat is looking for a new home—could it be yours.

PAWS (Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization serving Wakefield and other neighboring communities.

My name is Berwick and I might as well come right out and tell you that I was orphaned on the side of the road. I am no modern-day Huckleberry Finn. I don’t want to be alone and wandering. I am not the tramping type or a thrill seeker. I haven’t an ounce of wander lust in me. No, I am just a cuddly, loving tiger cat who wants to go home ... to you.

As you can see from my pictures, I am a young, about two years old, very handsome, fit, and trim medium-sized cat. Unlike some felines, I am easy to pick up, very snuggly, and an all-around happy guy. Nothing ruffles me. I am not bothered by new people or places and I am not bothered by other cats or barking dogs. I am what they call laid back and mellow.

Let’s see. Can I be clear about this? I want a home and I want one now. I can likely be happy in just about any situation. Kids? Bring them on. Dogs? I am game to meet them. Other cats? As long as they are domestic, sounds OK.

Speaking of other felines, I was abandoned with a cute little kitten friend named Maggie Mae. She is grey and white and just as sweet as I am. I asked them to include her pictures in my story in case you might want us both. We orphans stick together. Or not. You decide.

In any event, can you please adopt one or both of us? Can you please take us home? It’s so easy. Just give PAWS a call and set up a date for a meeting. I will want to inspect you, ive you a sniff and a rub. Then I will decide if we are the perfect match. Of course, honestly, I have already decided that we are exactly suited to each other. I am just waiting for you to take e home.
